CURRENT EMPLOYMENT

Occupation:	I was employed as a Senior Technology Solutions Manager / Product Manager for Broadband Wireless Solutions at Nokia Siemens Networks (formerly Siemens Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd) from the 1^st of June 1998 until the 31^st of May 2008. I held a Peromnes Job Grade 6 (Middle Management) since January 2001.
Main Activities:	Analysis of customer requirements and specifications (tenders); Technical presentations to customers and internal departments/assisting overseas counterparts with presentations where necessary; Analysis of technological advancement and of new product lines in the telecommunications field. Handling of technical queries from customers; Type approval of equipment. Interface to overseas counterparts (Technical Sales, Sales etc.); Technical advisory and consulting role to other departments (e.g. Sales, Engineering (System Test & Development), Service, Installation), External contractors and to the Customer.
Initiatives:	I have successfully introduced a Rural Wireless Point to Multipoint technology into the company’s product portfolio. This product was subsequently included in two successful bids for multi-technology projects in Southern Africa. I have also introduced a Digital Professional Mobile Radio technology into the company, in anticipation of bidding for a major mobile communications project. The company could unfortunately not capitalize on this opportunity due to strong competition.
